April’s Story

Hi, I’m April — a Coffee County cutie!

I was found as a stray in south Georgia in April 2023. I was in very early pregnancy so they were able to spay me before I had to try to carry 11 puppies to term. I was barely past being a puppy myself at 1.5 years old.

I’m a beautiful girl at 2.5 years old, weighing about 16 pounds. I’m up-to-date on my vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to find a home that will keep me safe and happy.

I am not a fan of large, bouncy dogs but I do well with smaller, less energetic, dogs. I love to play ball and will return the ball for you to throw again and again. I’m bright and affectionate. This girl is a true keeper!

As always, the rescue folks require that potential adopters have a secure, above-ground, fenced yard for my safety and security.
