Who needs a happy tail for a Monday? We knew sweet, little Joe wouldn’t be with us for long … and we were right.

A few days before the BarkDay event at City Dog II, the Wilding Family emailed us to ask if Joe would be at the event. They had just lost their JRT, Cammy, and were in the beginning stages of looking to adopt another Jack.

They son, Rich, had found our little rescue and recommended us. Their adoption app passed with flying colors, and they came out to meet him that Saturday. Whether his adorable good looks or his easygoing personality, Joe has a way of making everyone fall in love with him … and this lovely family was no exception.

L’il Joe was dealing with an ear infection, so we wanted to get him to the vet for one last exam and to start his meds, so he didn’t go home with them that day. His family came out to the ranch to get him a few days later, and it’s been smooth sailing in his new home ever since.

Now officially known as “Joey,” he is part of the family and spends his days cuddling, going to walks, “helping” Dad grill outside, and lounging on his screened-in porch. It’s a “ruff” life, but he certainly deserves it.

Thanks so much to this fabulous family for giving this wonderful boy a new start.
