Hey, everyone! CJ here! You might remember me from April on spring volunteer day when I first arrived at rescue. I was a little “rough” that weekend, but Lorna with Paw Spa Mobile Grooming gave me a spa day that brought out my true beauty. She also noticed a couple of skin cysts on me. Mama Donna had discovered them as well.
I went to foster care with one of our awesome volunteers/fosters and had the vet check me all out. The cysts are benign (whew), and they will be removed when I get my dental. Might as well do all of that stuff at once, but nothing to hold me back from finding my forever home! The rescue will be happy to help you with all of this, if you want to help me.
I’m an older gal (around 12-14 years) and my hearing and sight aren’t quite what they used to be. But does that hold me down? Heck no! I get around just fine. I’m house/crate trained, great on a leash and can see shadows and follow your voice or a clicker. I’m soft ’n fluffy like a teddy bear and very easygoing. My favorite thing to do is just to lounge around the house (I love my crate), but I also enjoy going for short walks and checking out my surroundings. (Lizards don’t get passed my nose!)
Other dogs are OK, as long as they respect my space and don’t want to wrestle. I’d rather rest. I would do best in a low-key home with someone who understands special-needs dogs who are in their golden years.
