My Wishes

Hello, Santa. Little (and I mean, little) Snowy here. This will be my second Christmas “with” rescue and it looks like I will spend the rest of my holidays here. You see, I’m a little, let’s just say “special.” I am deaf, I have neurological issues, high blood pressure, seizure disorder, kidney problems and, well, I’m essentially paraplegic with incontinence issues. All that said,  I’m still an adventurous, spunky little girl and “I ain’t done yet.” I have lots of love to give, things to explore, and sun rays to lie in.

Given that I had so many medical issues and needed special care, the fine foster folks who took in Kennedy (who has similar problems) a few years ago to foster and take care of him took me home with them, too. We’re both still here and probably will be forever because of the special care we need and receive from our awesome moms.

If I was to ask for something tangible, I guess it would be food. I’ve been trying really hard to pack on a couple of pounds. As you might expect, I need special food and have been doing well on Nulo Freestyle (small breed, salmon). I’m a little picky about treats, but I like the Fruitables brand (apple and pumpkin or yogurt). I’m not really into toys or balls.

As for something non-tangible, I could really use mores sponsors or donations in the new year. My monthly meds run about $30/month and I have to go back to the doc every 3 months to monitor my liver and kidneys and every 6 months for additional seizure-related monitoring. Suffice it to say, it’s not cheap … but look at this face! I’m worth it.
