We were all a bit heartbroken for (big) little Chloe when she arrived at rescue last month. She had been through so much, having lost both the only family she knew since she was a baby after 12 years and her younger sister, who was adopted. She was very confused and understandably nervous about what was happening and what was going to happen next. Now, we know—she knows—she’ll never have to worry again.

Yesterday, two of our fabulous volunteers, Pat and David Brookshire, took her home to meet the lovely Lorelee, a former GA JRT rescue who spent the first 7 years of her life, living in kennels, before they adopted her a couple of years ago. It’s only been about 24 hours, but, yeah, we’d say it’s all working out nicely. Best of all? We get to see this precious girl when she visits the ranch with her parents and Lorelee! Win-win-win!

And, yes, if you’re thinking how amazing Pat and David are? You’d be right! That, they are. We are as lucky as the girls to have them as part of our rescue family.
